RESTORING HUMAN DIGNITY

Located just 100 meters from the refugee camps in Serres, Greece, LHI's Refugee Center is a buzzing hive of education and healing. Classes are held on a range of subjects including English, German, music, and much more. There’s a Female-Friendly Space, a Child-Friendly Space, a computer space, and an aid distribution warehouse that provides dry food, fresh produce, diapers, and an array of hygiene supplies.

Imagine spending the afternoon here. You’d meet a group of vivacious elderly women learning to read and write their names for the first time. You’d chat with an 18 year-old kid who speaks 6 languages. And you’d see children receiving winter coats from our warehouse.

We take it personally when we see people we know and love struggling to meet their most basic needs. Your donation will enable us to meet the needs of refugee families in Serres and those living in other camps across northern Greece this winter. Thank you!
