New Community Center in Ukraine!

A happy day this summer was the grand opening of LHI’s new Growing Up Together Center for Mother and Child in Kherson. Nearly 6,000 children still live in Kherson, many with mothers who are sole providers. At the Center, kids play, socialize, receive therapy, and tutoring for school. We even bus in kids from suburban areas that haven't held formal school for over 2 years. In addition, mothers access parenting classes, yoga, and a co-working space with reliable internet and a supportive environment.

Kherson has endured a lot during the war. Occupation, flooding, and now near daily barrages of Russian attacks that have decimated the local infrastructure. Resources are scarce, which makes our new Center all the more important to the community of Kherson.

LHI gives you the inside track to make a gift of livestock that helps refugee families build stability and self sufficiency. Our track record speaks for itself: we’ve placed 4,769 goats and 3,400 chickens into the hands of 2,484 families since 2017. These Animal Tracks are turning into quite the adventurous tale. Stay tuned!
