PROVIDE LIFE-CHANGING LIVESTOCK TO REFUGEES AROUND THE WORLD
Utah non-profit Lifting Hands International invites you to partner together to provide goats, chickens, and pigs to refugees living in poverty in camps in Uganda and Jordan.
We have a waiting list of families who want to receive livestock and obtain the additional income that breeding the animals provides.
A $50,000 donation gives 165 refugee families livestock—the jumpstart they need to build self-sufficiency and stability.
A veterinarian expert inspects each animal to ensure they are young and healthy. The goats we provide are especially known for having twins and triplets. And the chickens we give are 75% more profitable than the local breed. The pig breed is known for its large size and fast growth. We provide regular support for the first year and check back in with families long after the initial distribution so we can share with you firsthand the difference you make with your gift.
SELF-SUFFICIENCY
In refugee camps, families face restrictions that make them dependent on aid. By providing livestock—such as goats, chickens, and pigs—families can return to the self-sufficient lifestyles they have known for generations. Livestock allows them to generate income by breeding animals or selling products like goat milk and eggs, helping them meet their own needs without relying on external aid.
STABILITY
The income from livestock helps families get out of survival mode and improve their quality of life. They can pay for their children’s education, access medicine, improve their housing, or buy food. We support these efforts by providing business training and helping families access markets during the first year, setting them up for financial stability and long-term success.
