FAST. Once you submit your donation, your crypto will be transferred to LHI’s wallet within a few minutes. If you provide an email address, a donation receipt will be emailed to you once the transaction is confirmed.

EASY. Just select the crypto you want to donate and enter the amount, provide your contact info (or donate anonymously), and a dynamic wallet address will be generated for your donation. Use this to send your donation from your wallet or exchange account.

SECURE. Cryptocurrency transactions rely on blockchain technology, with networks of thousands of computers around the world verifying every transaction. All crypto donations are converted to fiat immediately upon receipt.

TAX-EFFICIENT. US crypto donors pay no capital gains taxes on gifts to LHI. From a tax perspective, this is very similar to donating appreciated stocks.

  • Donating cryptocurrency to LHI is easy. Use the donation form above, select your cryptocurrency type, complete the information, receive the wallet address, and make your donation.

  • You can access all of our wallet addresses by using the crypto donation form above. Once you enter the type of cryptocurrency and reach the third step, you will receive a unique wallet address which can then be used to complete your donation.

  • Once you’ve filled out your information and receive a unique wallet address, this address can be used again without having to re-enter any information on our page.

  • In order to receive a receipt for your cryptocurrency donation, you must enter your email when prompted in the donation form above.

  • Yes, you can donate anonymously. However, if you’d like to receive a tax receipt, you must enter your email address when prompted on the third page.

  • In the US, the IRS classifies cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations to 501(c)(3) charities receive the same tax treatment as stocks. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. Please contact your tax or financial advisor for more information.
